This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Sasso del Morto. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 9.414 kilometers and an elevation gain of 902 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will pass by various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Parcheggio Rescadore parking area, followed by the Piazza Lama Golese and Parcheggio Campeggio parking lots. Further along the trail, you will come across the peaceful Lago Pra Cavo and a refreshing fountain.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the stunning peak of Sasso del Morto, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, you can take a break at Asprella Saloon or enjoy a meal at Rifugio Il crinale.
Towards the end of the hike, you will encounter Rifugio San Lorenzo and Pizzeria Paninoteca La Contessa, where you can refuel before completing the loop. Finally, as you make your way back, take in the scenic views from the viewpoint located 4.3 kilometers from the start.
