Hiking : Lac Long

This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is circular, starting and ending at Lac Long.

As you set off on your adventure, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will come across Lac Rond, a picturesque lake nestled in the mountains. Further along, you will find AP de la Vallée-Etroite, a historic fort with a rich past. Be sure to take a moment to explore and appreciate the history surrounding this site.

On your journey, you will also encounter Refuge du Mont Thabor, an alpine hut where you can rest and refuel before continuing your trek. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the mountain views.

Throughout the hike, you will have opportunities to refill your water supply at various drinking water stations located along the trail. One such station is located at a wayside cross, providing a refreshing break for hikers.

As you make your way back towards Lac Long, be sure to stop by the viewpoint at 3.4 kilometers from the start. From here, you can take in breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

This 11.604-kilometer hike with an elevation gain of 594 meters is considered difficult due to its length and challenging terrain. Be prepared for a strenuous workout and make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
