This challenging 11.6-kilometer hiking route will lead you through the stunning natural beauty of the area, offering breathtaking views and a variety of points of interest along the way.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the refreshing Lac Long, located just 5.72 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This picturesque lake provides a perfect spot to take a break, snap some photos, and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. As you continue on your journey, you will come across Lac Rond, a bit further away at 5.4 kilometers from the start, offering another opportunity to admire the beauty of the region.
Along the trail, you will also encounter AP de la Vallée-Etroite, a historic fort located 3.6 kilometers from the start, adding a touch of historical interest to your adventure. Additionally, you will pass by the Refuge du Mont Thabor, an alpine hut situated 5.05 kilometers from the beginning of the trail, where you can rest and refuel before continuing on.
Be sure to stay hydrated during your hike, as there are several drinking water points conveniently located along the trail, with the closest one just 0.81 kilometers from the start. Additionally, make sure to check the weather forecast before setting out, as the elevation gain of 594 meters and duration of approximately 4 hours and 10 minutes make this a more difficult hike.
As you make your way back to the starting point, take in the views from the viewpoint at 3.4 kilometers from the start, offering a final glimpse of the breathtaking scenery before concluding your adventure.
