As you embark on this journey, you will start at the parking area near La Loza and Le Lavoir, where you can find information about the trail and top up your water supply at the drinking water fountain nearby. The trail begins with a gradual incline, leading you past historical landmarks such as the AP de la Vallée-Etroite fort at around 3.6 kilometers from the start.
As you continue your trek, you will encounter several picturesque alpine huts like the Refuge du Mont Thabor, which provides a cozy resting spot around the 5.05-kilometer mark. Make sure to stop by Lac Long and Lac Rond, stunning natural water features that offer a tranquil setting for a break at 5.74 and 5.4 kilometers from the start, respectively.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across various viewpoints where you can pause to admire the breathtaking scenery. Keep an eye out for the wayside cross at approximately 3.06 kilometers from the start, adding a touch of history to the natural beauty surrounding you.
As you near the end of the trail, don't forget to refill your water supplies at the drinking water fountain located at around 5.09 kilometers from the start. Finally, the trail loops back to the starting point, offering a sense of accomplishment after a challenging but fulfilling hike.
