Welcome to the Sentier des Bataillères hiking route! This extremely difficult 12.474-kilometer circular trail offers stunning views and a challenging trek for experienced hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will find the historic AP de la Vallée-Etroite fort, a fascinating site rich in history. As you continue on, you will come across the beautiful Lac Long, located 5.74 kilometers from the start, providing a serene spot to rest and take in the surrounding natural beauty.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter the Refuge du Mont Thabor, an alpine hut offering a place to recharge and enjoy a break. This is a great spot to refuel before continuing on your journey.
Throughout the hike, you will also pass by various water sources, such as Lac Rond, drinking water stations, and other picturesque lakes. These stops offer opportunities to hydrate and take in the peaceful surroundings.
