This challenging circular hiking route in the D 48a area spans approximately 7.874 kilometers with an elevation gain of 405 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey and pass by a climbing area shortly thereafter. As you continue along the trail, you'll come across a tranquil picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Further ahead, at around 0.65 kilometers from the start, you'll find an information point called Orvaz, providing insights on the local area.
Around 2.65 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter the Montelet ruins, offering a glimpse into the area's historic past. A bit further at 2.99 kilometers, the Saut à l'Âne waterfall presents a picturesque spot to admire.
As you progress, at 3.75 kilometers, you'll stumble upon more historic ruins and another waterfall at 3.76 kilometers - both adding an intriguing element to your hike. Additionally, benches along the way provide resting spots to catch your breath and take in the surrounding nature.
