This hiking route is an extremely difficult out-and-back trail covering a distance of 14.757 kilometers with an elevation gain of 714 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is 5 hours and 12 minutes.
The trail starts at a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on your journey. As you begin your hike, around 0.85 kilometers from the start, you will come across an information point called "Le Poye" where you can learn more about the area. Continuing on, at 3.66 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a wayside cross and a water source.
Around 3.85 kilometers from the start, there is a shelter called "Monument de la roue de Bollement" and a fountain nearby. Additionally, at 3.85 kilometers, there is another water source. A little further at 3.73 kilometers, there is another information point for you to explore.
The trail also passes by a natural reserve called "Réserve naturelle du Doubs - L'architecture de la ferme du Poye", located around 0.84 kilometers from the start. Along the way, there are various water sources and historic points of interest to keep an eye out for, as well as plenty of information spots to enrich your knowledge of the area.
