This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area of Wasserfallweg, known for its stunning waterfalls and natural beauty. The trail is an out-and-back route with a total distance of 4.095 kilometers and an elevation gain of 146 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Gerlosstraße memorial, located just 0.14 kilometers from the start, providing a historical insight into the area. Continuing along the trail, you will come across the Trattenköpfl parking area at 0.14 kilometers, where you can conveniently park your vehicle before starting the hike.

Midway through the hike, at around 1.96 kilometers from the start, you will find the Mittlerer Krimmler Wasserfall, a breathtaking waterfall that is a must-see attraction along the route. Nearby, you can also explore the Schönangerlalm information point, offering valuable insights about the surrounding area.

Towards the end of the trail, approximately 2.05 kilometers from the start, you will encounter various points of interest such as Gasthof Schönangerl restaurant, Bergersteig viewpoint, and Schönangerl information point. These spots provide opportunities to rest, take in the scenic views, and learn more about the area.
