This hiking route will take you through a challenging yet rewarding journey in the beautiful area surrounding Santuario del Frassino. The trail spans approximately 10.97 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1318 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will test your endurance and strength.
As you start your hike, you'll come across Ristorante LOCAL, a cozy restaurant located right by the trail where you can fuel up before your adventure. Further along the trail, you'll find a picturesque water point at a distance of 5.49 kilometers from the start, perfect for a refreshing break.
As you continue on, you'll encounter historic ruins at 2.06 kilometers, followed by a natural water source at 2.14 kilometers. A shelter named Coren will offer a place to rest at 2.29 kilometers into the hike.
One of the highlights of the trail is the peak of Cima Campelli, located 3.54 kilometers from the start, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. Further along, you'll reach Belvedere, a stunning viewpoint at 5.28 kilometers, and the historic wayside shrine, Madonnina, at 5.17 kilometers.
For those looking to extend their hike, Bivacco Dante Testa, a wilderness hut, is located at 5.24 kilometers from the start, providing overnight accommodation for adventurous hikers.
