Hiking : Lacs Nère

This extremely difficult 12.415-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the stunning Lacs Nère in a picturesque area. The trail begins at Granges d‘Astau where you can find parking facilities, make sure to bring plenty of water and check the weather forecast before starting your journey. As you hike, you'll come across the beautiful Lacs de Nère at around 6.11 kilometers from the start, and then the Lacs Nère at around 6.21 kilometers.

Along the way, you'll pass by the Cabane d Esquierry shelter at 2.34 kilometers from the start, providing a nice resting spot. Further down the trail, at 4.35 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Couret d'Esquierry saddle offering magnificent views of the surrounding landscapes.

At the end of the hike, you can set up camp at the Bivouac campsite located at 6.21 kilometers. This hike is recommended for experienced hikers due to its length of 12.415 kilometers and elevation gain of 1261 meters. Remember to pack essentials such as snacks, a first aid kit, and extra layers of clothing. Enjoy the breathtaking views and serene nature along this challenging trek to the Lacs Nère.
