This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on an 11.979-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1353 meters to the stunning Almkogel peak.

Starting at the parking area at Parkplatz Baumschlagerreith, you will begin your adventure. Just 2.72 kilometers into the hike, you will pass by the Lögeralm shelter, a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Further along, at 3.16 kilometers, you will reach the Lögerhütte shelter, another nice resting place on your way to the peak.

As you continue on the trail, at 5.99 kilometers, you will come across the majestic Almkogel peak, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the area. At 1.83 kilometers from the start, you will find the Hagstein (Hochstein) viewpoint, providing a perfect opportunity to capture some amazing photos.

On your way back, stop by the Hochsteinscharte saddle at 4.5 kilometers for another picturesque view. Before finishing the hike, visit the Wayside Cross at 3.23 kilometers for a glimpse into the area's historic past.

Throughout the hike, you will find information points providing interesting facts about the surroundings. Additionally, the Almgasthof Baumschlagerreith restaurant at 0.04 kilometers from the start is a great place to refuel after your challenging trek.
