This hiking route takes you through the stunning mountainous region surrounding Refuge de la Combe. The trail covers a distance of 10.115 kilometers and has an elevation gain of 499 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding journey that will take approximately 3 hours and 35 minutes to complete.
As you begin your hike from the Parking du Petit Reposoir, you will pass by the picturesque Chalet de Bornette and the tranquil Source de la Combe. Around 2.41 kilometers into the hike, you will come across Les Ailes du Nant, an alpine hut offering a cozy pitstop for tired hikers.
Continuing on, at 1.77 kilometers from the start, you will reach Col de Bornette, a beautiful saddle in the landscape, where you can take in breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Nearby, you will find informative signposts at Chalet de Bornette and Les Ailes du Nant.
