This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Marienfels, offering a pleasant and easy hike with a total distance of 3.834 kilometers and an elevation gain of 218 meters. The estimated duration of the hike is 1 hour and 25 minutes.
As you start your journey, you will come across a couple of water features. The first one is a natural water source located just 170 meters off the trail, followed by the Étang de Pêche AAPP Saverne - Étang du Ramstahl at a distance of 0.25 kilometers from the trail.
Continuing onwards, you will pass by the Château de Greifenstein, a historic castle situated 1.25 kilometers from the start of the trail. Nearby, you will also find the Tour Médiane, another accessible historic site that is worth exploring.
Further along the route, at a distance of 1.92 kilometers from the start, you will reach the viewpoint of Marienfels, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, there is a bench where you can take a break and soak in the scenery.
For those interested in history, there are several other historic sites along the trail, including the Grand (Vieux) - Greiffenstein castle and the Petit (Nouveau) - Greiffenstein castle, both located around 1.31 kilometers from the start.
