This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of La Grotte Saint-Vit and the Chemin Forestier du Chalet. The trail is an out-and-back route, with a total distance of 4.808 kilometers and an elevation gain of 205 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you continue, you will pass by some historic landmarks such as the Château de Greifenstein and the Tour Médiane.
Midway through the hike, you will come across the picturesque Étang de Pêche AAPP Saverne - Étang du Ramstahl, a lovely spot to take a break and enjoy the surrounding nature. Further along, you will encounter some water sources where you can refill your supplies.
Towards the end of the trail, you will reach La Grotte Saint-Vit, a cave entrance and attraction that is sure to captivate you. Nearby, you can explore the ruins of La Grotte Saint-Vit and the wayside cross Croix de Saint-Vit. Take a moment to relax at one of the benches or picnic sites before heading back.
