This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Breitenberg Südgipfel in the beautiful area of Breitenberg. The trail covers a distance of 12.912 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1052 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding adventure.
As you start your journey, you will come across the parking area at Säge, around 0.778 kilometers from the trailhead. Further along the path, at around 2.02 kilometers from the start, you will find a bench to rest and enjoy the surrounding nature. Continuing on, at 4.24 kilometers in, you will reach Häbelesgund, where you can gather information about the area.
Midway through the hike, at 6.46 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Breitenberg Südgipfel peak, offering panoramic views of the region. Nearby, there is a shelter located at 4.25 kilometers from the start to take a break and refuel.
Along the way back, at around 2.5 kilometers from the start, you will find informative spots like Hinter der Kelle and Retterschwang to learn more about the area. Additionally, benches are scattered throughout the trail for hikers to take a rest and soak in the scenery.
