This hiking route takes you through the stunning landscape of Eggen. The trail is 6.462 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 135 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike that can be completed in approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Starting at the parking area, you will head towards Røykenesvatnet, a serene lake located just 0.51 kilometers from the start of the trail. The trail then continues past ER-AN Veikro, a wheelchair-accessible fast food restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat just 0.1 kilometers into the hike. As you continue on, you will come across a campsite at 0.12 kilometers and another water feature at 1 kilometer.

Midway through the hike, you will reach Eggen, a prominent peak that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. This peak is located 3.23 kilometers from the start of the trail and is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery before making your way back.
