This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area around Poggio Roncomannaio. With a total distance of 12.553 kilometers and an elevation gain of 789 meters, this hike is considered extremely difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.

Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards Monte Calvi, a peak that is 3.39 kilometers away from the start of the trail. As you continue on, you will come across Passo Balinello, a saddle located 2.35 kilometers from the starting point. Don't forget to take a moment to admire the historic wayside cross at Croce Marchetti, which is situated 4.09 kilometers into the hike.

Along the way, you will also encounter several peaks such as Monte delle Scalette (5.39 km from the start), Poggio Roncomannaio (6.28 km from the start), and Monte di Stagno (2.35 km from the start). Make sure to stay hydrated by refilling your water supply at the drinking water stations located at various points along the trail.

As you reach the turnaround point, Monte di Stagno, take a moment to enjoy the breathtaking views from the viewpoint at Croce di Geppe (4.59 km from the start). On your way back, you can learn more about the area from the information points scattered along the trail.
