Located in the heart of Atlanta, the Gilmer Street Southeast hiking route offers a super easy walk with a total distance of 0.53 kilometers and no elevation gain.
As you start your hike, you will come across various points of interest along the trail. At the beginning, there is parking available at G Deck and other parking spots nearby. Midway through the route, you will pass by Sensational Subs, a fast-food spot where you can grab a quick bite to eat.
Further along, you will encounter Pounce The Panther, an artwork, and Mr. Hibachi, a restaurant, where you can appreciate some local culture and cuisine. Towards the end of the trail, you will encounter a fountain and Shining Light, a memorial, providing a serene atmosphere for reflection.
