This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area around Monte Volsci. The trail is a moderate difficulty level, with a distance of approximately 4.6 kilometers and an elevation gain of 350 meters. It is an out-and-back route, so you will be retracing your steps on the way back.
Starting at the trailhead, you will find parking available nearby. Make sure to bring enough water with you as the hike progresses. About 3 kilometers into the hike, you will come across Monte Compasqua, a peak that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Along the way, there are drinking water stations available for refilling your bottles. At around the 2.3-kilometer mark, you will reach another peak, Monte Volsci, which is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery.
Near the end of the trail, there is a restaurant, Rifugio Alpi Apuane, where you can grab a bite to eat before heading back. As always, make sure to check the weather forecast before embarking on your hike and be prepared with proper gear and clothing.
