The hiking route to Lac des 9 couleurs is a challenging 8.543-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 405 meters. The trail starts at a parking area with no fees and takes you through picturesque natural surroundings.

After beginning your hike, you will soon come across the beautiful Lac des 9 couleurs, a stunning natural water feature located approximately 4.27 kilometers from the start. Take a moment to admire the nine different shades of blue and green in the water before continuing on your journey.

As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by Col de Serenne, a saddle located about 4.04 kilometers from the start. This scenic spot offers panoramic views of the surrounding area, making it a great place to rest and take in the beauty of the landscape.

Towards the end of the trail, approximately 2.11 kilometers from the start, you will reach another saddle with impressive views. This final stop is a perfect place to refuel and prepare for the journey back.
