The trail begins at a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before starting your adventure. As you set off, you'll come across the Balcon des Contrebandiers, a popular viewpoint providing picturesque scenery of the surrounding landscape. Just a short distance from the start, you'll also encounter Le Col des Contrebandiers, offering informative insights into the area's history.
As you continue along the trail, make sure to stop by the Col des contrebandiers, a natural saddle formation that adds a unique touch to the hike. A little further ahead, you'll reach Mont Baret, a peak that offers panoramic views of the region. Don't forget to take a break at the bench located nearby to catch your breath and soak in the beauty of your surroundings.
Midway through the hike, you'll find yourself at a series of viewpoints including Panneau ONF, providing different perspectives of the landscape. On the way back, make a pit stop at the various viewpoints like the ones at a distance of 0.38 kilometers and 0.41 kilometers from the start, offering a last chance to admire the scenic vistas before concluding your journey.
