This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Monte Baueria area. With a total distance of 17.988 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1241 meters, this challenging trail is not for the faint of heart. It is recommended to set aside approximately 7 hours and 15 minutes for this hike.

As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the trail. At the beginning of the hike, you will find the beautiful Lago Niera, located 4.61 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, at a distance of 4.11 kilometers, you will encounter the cozy Rifugio Stroppia wilderness hut, where you can take a break and enjoy the magnificent surroundings.

Along the way, you will also pass by Rifugio Campo Base, an alpine hut steeped in history, and Campo Base campsite, providing you with accommodation options for a longer stay in the area. Be sure to stay hydrated by making use of the water sources located approximately 1.39 kilometers and 7.93 kilometers from the start.

As you continue your trek, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the cascading waters of Cascate di Stroppia, a picturesque waterfall located 4.57 kilometers from the start. Additionally, you can take in breathtaking views from the Monte Baueria viewpoint, just 0.32 kilometers from the start.
