This hiking route in La Rua is an extremely difficult 18.859-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 1133 meters. The duration of the hike is estimated to be around 7 hours and 11 minutes.

Starting at the trailhead, hikers will pass by various points of interest along the way. Approximately 3.18 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a water source, followed by rock formations at the 9.43 kilometer mark.

For those driving to the trailhead, there is a parking area located right at the beginning of the trail, ensuring convenient access. Along the route, you will also encounter a fountain, the Ubaïa restaurant (located just 0.02 kilometers from the trail), and the Le Chamois Bleu restaurant a bit further away.

As you continue on the trail, you will find a drinking water point around the 0.1-kilometer mark and informational points such as Le Serre and Les Prats, providing insight into the surroundings. St. Paul sur Ubaye is another informational point located at around 0.28 kilometers from the start.

While the trail offers beautiful sights and interesting landmarks, it is crucial to come prepared. Make sure to bring an adequate water supply, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear.
