This challenging hiking route takes you through the stunning alpine area surrounding Refuge du Palet. Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a convenient cafe, Kiosk, just 0.03 kilometers from the start, perfect for grabbing a quick snack or drink before beginning your adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across some interesting points of interest.

At 1.27 kilometers from the start, you'll find a historic wayside cross, providing a glimpse into the area's past. Further along the trail, at 3.03 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the tranquil Gouille d'Eau, a natural water feature perfect for a peaceful rest stop.

Around the midway point of the hike, approximately 3.64 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Col du Palet, a picturesque saddle offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. From here, you can refuel and recharge at the drinking water point located at Refuge du Palet, just 4.18 kilometers from the start.

As you make your way back, consider stopping at Planks, a cozy cafe 0.03 kilometers from the start, or Taverne des Neiges, a restaurant located right on the trail at the beginning of your journey.
