This extremely difficult hike will take you along the Ludwig-Dürr-Weg trail, spanning a distance of 16.183 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1520 meters. The total duration of this out-and-back route is estimated to be around 7 hours and 32 minutes.
The hike starts at a parking area, where you should make sure to have enough water and supplies for the long journey ahead. As you begin your trek, you will come across several points of interest along the way.
Closer to the start, at around 5.26 kilometers into the hike, you will find Lumpaschadseele, a beautiful water feature that is located right on the trail, perfect for a refreshing stop. As you continue along the trail, at 2.95 kilometers, you will reach the Friedrichshafener Hütte alpine hut, providing a great resting spot with amenities for hikers.
Midway through the hike, at around 6.06 kilometers, you will pass by the Dürrschartli saddle, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Further along the trail, at 0.06 kilometers, you will come across Wildpark Ischgl, a zoo where you can take a break and admire the local wildlife.
On the way back, around 7.97 kilometers into the hike, you will find informative signage and benches for a well-deserved break before completing the route.
