Located in a picturesque area, the hiking route to Plana Sastrosa offers a challenging adventure for outdoor enthusiasts. The 8.16-kilometer trail with an elevation gain of 633 meters is estimated to take around 3 hours and 28 minutes to complete, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.
Starting at the designated parking area, hikers will begin their journey towards Plana Sastrosa. Along the way, they will come across various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, about 0.09 kilometers away, hikers will find the refreshing Fuen del Llasero spring, providing a perfect spot to rest and refuel.
As hikers progress further, they will reach the wilderness hut known as Cabaña de Lliterola, located 2.7 kilometers from the start. This wilderness hut offers a cozy retreat for hikers to take a break and enjoy the surrounding nature.
Continuing on the trail, approximately 4.08 kilometers from the start, hikers will encounter a natural water source, ideal for replenishing supplies and staying hydrated.
With the trail being an out-and-back route, hikers will retrace their steps on the way back, allowing them to enjoy the diverse landscapes and scenery from a different perspective.
