This extremely difficult hiking route will take you through the breathtaking area of Echelle. The trail spans a total distance of 12.074 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1119 meters, so be prepared for a challenging adventure.

As you start your hike, you will come across the Aire de Quai de Mare a Joseph parking area, which is located right at the beginning of the trail. As you continue on, you will encounter several water features such as the water spots at 2.77, 2.9, and 2.83 kilometers into the hike, providing a serene atmosphere along the way.

For a relaxing break, you can stop at the picnic site at 0.0 kilometers into the trail, or visit the Croisée Sentier des Sources information point at 0.21 kilometers in. Along the way, you will also pass by the Côteau Kervéguen saddle located at 1.94 kilometers into the hike, offering a unique viewpoint of the surroundings.

One of the highlights of the trail is the Echelle viewpoint at 6.04 kilometers, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the area. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as the trail can be strenuous. Additionally, checking the weather forecast before embarking on this hike is recommended.

As you reach the turnaround point and head back, take in the scenic views from the various viewpoints such as the point de vue sur le Kerveguen at 3.85 kilometers and the various echelle viewpoints scattered throughout the trail.
