This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning natural landscapes and challenging terrain. The route is an out-and-back type with a total distance of 10.732 kilometers and an elevation gain of 647.0 meters, making it a difficult hike that will test your endurance.

As you start your journey, you will pass by the Ludwigsburger Hütte, which is a parking area located right at the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to park your vehicle and start your hike towards the Mauchelealm, an alpine hut located 3.53 kilometers from the start. Along the way, you will find a bench at 3.79 kilometers where you can take a break and enjoy the surrounding views.

Continuing on the trail, you will reach the Söllbergalm, another alpine hut situated 5.37 kilometers from the start. This is a perfect place to rest and refuel before making your way back. Along the route, you will also come across information points where you can learn more about the area's history and wildlife.

At around 2.32 kilometers from the start, you can explore a waterfall located a short distance from the trail. This natural wonder offers a refreshing break and a chance to cool off before completing your hike.
