Welcome to the hiking route to Pas de la Cheminée! This moderate 5.135-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a mix of natural and historic points of interest along the way.

Starting from Parking de la Doriaz, the trail begins with an informative stop at La Paleu, located just 0.12 kilometers from the starting point. As you continue, you'll pass by Grotte à Carret, a cave entrance 1.26 kilometers into the hike. Further along, you'll reach an attraction called Source de la Doria, located 1.12 kilometers from the start.

Midway through the trail, at around 2.44 kilometers from the beginning, you'll encounter Refuge du Nivolet, offering a sheltered resting spot for tired hikers. Nearby, you'll find Croix du Nivolet, a viewpoint and peak located 2.57 kilometers from the trailhead.

For those interested in via ferrata, the route also features Les Via Ferrata Jules Carret, with various points of interest such as Le P'Tchi, Passerelle, Trottoir à Jules, and Échappatoire, all around 1.26 kilometers from the start.

Although some points of interest are located off the main trail, like Grotte à Carret and Grotte de la Doria, there's plenty to see and explore on this hike.
