You are embarking on the "Pot čez Kuklarje" hiking route, which is an out-and-back trail spanning a distance of 6.912 kilometers with an elevation gain of 274 meters. This moderate difficulty trail is estimated to take around 2 hours and 17 minutes to complete.
The trail starts at Mačkin kot parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before setting off on your adventure. As you begin your hike, you will come across Urinova lokev, a water feature located 1.53 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail at 1.25 kilometers, you will encounter another water source.
Around 2.13 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Vetrnica cave entrance, adding an interesting element to your journey. Continuing on, at 2.63 kilometers, you will reach the Zeleni rob peak and the Okrepčevalnica Zeleni rob restaurant where you can replenish your energy with a meal.
As you progress towards the endpoint, you will spot the Preskar Cottage on Velika Planina Alp at 1.53 kilometers from the end of the trail. Finally, at the turnaround point 2.63 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Zeleni rob peak once again.
