This challenging hiking route takes you through the scenic alpine landscapes of the Rifugio Alpino Ai Sap area. With a total distance of 10.688 kilometers and an elevation gain of 888 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the picturesque Rifugio Jumarre at the beginning of your journey. This alpine hut offers a cozy resting spot with facilities like a website for more information, a phone number for reservations, and is located just 119 meters off the trail.
As you make your way further along the path, you will encounter the Vasca Bagnou (ACEA) spring at around 2.06 kilometers from the start. This natural spring provides a refreshing stop for hikers to refill their water bottles and take in the tranquil surroundings.
Around the midway point of the hike, at approximately 3.2 kilometers from the start, you will find a drinking water source at a distance of 31.484 meters from the trail. This is a crucial refueling point, so be sure to replenish your supplies here.
Continuing on, at 5.34 kilometers from the start, you will reach the destination of the hike, Rifugio Alpino Ai Sap. This alpine hut offers accommodation and is a perfect spot to rest and enjoy the stunning mountain views before heading back on the same trail.
For parking convenience, there are designated parking areas located at the trailhead and along the route, so you can easily access the starting point of the hike.
