This extremely difficult 14.316-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the stunning Kuhljochspitze in the area. Be prepared for a challenging adventure with an elevation gain of 1309 meters.
Starting off at the trailhead, you'll find parking available nearby for your convenience. As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across several points of interest. Early on, at around 0.52 kilometers into the hike, you'll find the Goaßboden shelter where you can take a rest.
Continuing on, at approximately 1.18 kilometers, there is a bench to enjoy the surrounding views. As you trek further, you'll reach the Kuhljochscharte saddle at 6.8 kilometers into the hike, followed by the Kuhljochspitze peak at 7.07 kilometers. These points offer panoramic views that make the effort worthwhile.
Along the trail, you'll also encounter benches for resting, wayside shrines for historical significance, and information points to learn more about the area. Make sure to stay hydrated, as there are drinking water stations at various points along the route.
As you approach the end of the hike, you'll pass by the Kreuzjöchl saddle at 6.11 kilometers and a bench at 0.52 kilometers before reaching back to the starting point.
