This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you through the stunning Gias dei Laghi area, covering a total distance of 12.731 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1422 meters. It is estimated to take about 6 and a half hours to complete, so be prepared for a challenging adventure.

As you begin your journey, you will come across a wayside shrine at the trailhead, setting the tone for a spiritual and scenic exploration. Along the way, you will encounter several natural springs where you can replenish your water supply. Keep in mind that bringing an ample amount of water is crucial for this long and strenuous hike.

About 6.37 kilometers into the trek, you will find a serene water body known as Laghi di Trione, offering a picturesque spot to rest and admire the surrounding nature. Additionally, Lago Vasuero will be around 3.52 kilometers from the start, providing another beautiful location to pause and take in the tranquility of the area.

As you venture further, you will reach Colle del Trione at approximately 4.53 kilometers from the beginning, a notable saddle point that offers panoramic views of the landscape. Along the way back, you will pass by more wayside shrines, each adding a touch of historical significance to your hike.
