This hiking route, known as Sendero Madre e Hija, is set in a breathtaking natural area with stunning views and serene water features along the way. The trail spans a distance of 18.142 kilometers with an elevation gain of 386 meters, making it an extremely difficult trek that will challenge even experienced hikers.

As you begin your journey, you will come across a parking area about 2.5 kilometers from the starting point. This spot offers a convenient place to leave your vehicle before hitting the trail. Further along at around 6.53 kilometers, you will reach Laguna Capri, a picturesque viewpoint where you can rest and admire the stunning scenery.

Continuing on, at the 9.03-kilometer mark, you will encounter a tranquil water feature surrounded by natural beauty, providing a perfect opportunity to refill your water supplies and take a moment to appreciate the serene surroundings. As you make your way back, be sure to stop at the various viewpoints scattered along the trail, such as Mirador Río de las Vueltas at 3.22 kilometers and another viewpoint at 7.13 kilometers.

Throughout the hike, you will pass by several water sources, so be sure to bring a water filter or purification tablets to stay hydrated. The trail also offers campsite amenities at Laguna Capri, allowing for a unique overnight experience in the midst of nature.
