Hiking : Hochwart - Guardia Alta

This hiking route takes you through the stunning alpine scenery of the Hochwart - Guardia Alta area. The trail is 9.06 kilometers long and has an elevation gain of 952 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding hike.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area before reaching the Schutzhütte Hochalm - Rifugio Hochalm alpine hut approximately 2.47 kilometers into the hike. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy some refreshments while taking in the beautiful mountain views.

Continuing on, you will reach the peak of Hochwart - Guardia Alta at around 4.53 kilometers into the hike. The views from the peak are breathtaking and definitely worth the climb. There are also benches along the trail where you can rest and enjoy the scenery.

As you make your way back, you will pass by several information points and another alpine hut, the Egger-Grub Alm - Malga Egger-Grub, where you can stop for a meal before finishing the hike.

This out-and-back trail is a great option for experienced hikers looking for a challenging adventure in a picturesque alpine setting.
