You are about to embark on a beautiful hiking route to Gamskogel, starting at an elevation of 1362 meters and reaching an elevation of 2159 meters. The route is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 10.534 kilometers with an elevation gain of 774 meters.

As you start your journey, you will pass by the Übungslift Zauchis Kinderland parking area, from where you can easily access the trailhead. The trail will lead you through the stunning landscape of the area, with various points of interest along the way.

After hiking for a while, you will come across the Felserhütte restaurant, where you can take a break and refuel before continuing on your adventure. Further along the route, you will find the Garnhofalm restaurant, offering another opportunity to rest and enjoy a meal.

As you continue hiking, you will reach the Gamskogelhütte restaurant, located at a distance of 3 kilometers from the starting point. This will be a great spot to take in the surrounding views and relax before heading back.

On your way back, you can also stop by the Unterbergalm restaurant, located 1 kilometer away from the starting point, providing another chance to rest and recharge.

Before starting your hike, make sure to bring plenty of water, as the route is moderate in difficulty due to its length and elevation gain. It is also recommended to check the weather forecast and dress accordingly for the journey.

Throughout the hike, you will be surrounded by the beauty of the area, with the Gamskogel viewpoint and peak offering breathtaking panoramic views. Make sure to take your time to appreciate the natural beauty surrounding you.

As you reach the end of the hike, you can visit the Arena Alm restaurant to celebrate your accomplishment and relax after a rewarding day of hiking.
