Welcome to the Frauenkogel hiking route! This picturesque area offers beautiful views and a moderate hiking challenge.

Starting at the trailhead, you'll pass by a parking area where you can leave your vehicle with no fee required. Be sure to bring plenty of water as the trailhead is the closest point to refill your water bottle.

As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across a couple of water sources, perfect for refilling your water supply if needed. These are located at around 0.56 km and 0.59 km from the start of the trail.

About halfway into your hike, you'll reach a historic landmark - the Burgruine Thal castle ruins. Take a moment to explore and appreciate the history of the area before continuing on your journey.

As you near the peak of Frauenkogel, you'll encounter the Frauenkogel peak itself at around 2.83 km from the start of the trail. The summit offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect spot for a rest and some snacks.

On your way back, you'll pass by the Madersberg peak at approximately 1.28 km from the start. This is another great vantage point to take in the beauty of the region.

Throughout the hike, keep an eye out for informative signs along the trail, such as the "Auf den Spuren der Pilger und Wallfahrer" offering insights into the history of the pilgrimage routes in the area.

With a total distance of 5.652 km and an elevation gain of 126 meters, this hike is considered moderate in difficulty. Be sure to check the weather forecast before setting out and wear appropriate footwear.
