Welcome to the GR11 hiking route, a challenging 11.05-kilometer out-and-back trail that will take you through the stunning natural beauty of the area. The route has an elevation gain of 609 meters, making it a difficult hike that is best suited for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Refugi del Coll de Banyuls, a wilderness hut located right at the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to rest and refuel before continuing on your adventure. Further along the trail, you will encounter several peaks such as Puig de les Guilles, Puig del Torn, and Puig de la Calma, each offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Orri de la Font Jordana shelter, where you can take a break and enjoy the serene surroundings. Don't forget to visit Font Jordana, a natural spring in the area, to replenish your water supply.
As you make your way back, be sure to stop by Coll de Banyuls, a picturesque viewpoint where you can take in the beauty of the surroundings. Along the trail, you will also come across informative signposts such as the Ruta dels 4 refugis de la Tramuntana, providing insight into the history and culture of the area.
