Welcome to the Hinteralm hiking route, a challenging and rewarding trail located in a picturesque area surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.

At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Bergerhube restaurant, where you can fuel up before starting your hike. Further along, you will come across the Schaunitzsee, a stunning lake perfect for a peaceful rest stop around the 5-kilometer mark.

As you continue your journey, you will pass by the informative Schaunitztörl saddle and the Hahnenkamm peak, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Be sure to stay hydrated by refilling your water bottles at the drinking water station located approximately 0.2 kilometers from the start. Additionally, there is a parking area nearby in case you need to leave your vehicle.

The trail is considered extremely difficult due to its 904-meter elevation gain, so be prepared for a challenging climb. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. Check the weather forecast before heading out to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

At the end of the route, you will encounter the impressive waterfall, a perfect spot to soak in the natural beauty before making your way back to the starting point.
