This challenging out-and-back trail covers a distance of 8.233 kilometers with an elevation gain of 940 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is 4 hours and 15 minutes.
The trail begins at a parking area, which is conveniently located right at the trailhead. As you start hiking, you will come across a refreshing drinking water point about 0.65 kilometers into the hike. Make sure to fill up your water bottles here as staying hydrated is crucial on this challenging trail.
As you continue on your journey, you will pass by Calavise campsite at 0.85 kilometers. This could be a good spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail, at around 3.32 kilometers, you will encounter the historic Croce della Vederna wayside cross. Take a moment to appreciate the significance of this landmark.
As you approach the midpoint of the trail, at 4.12 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Monte Vederna. The views from here are breathtaking, offering a rewarding experience for your efforts.
Along the way back, at the beginning of the trail, you will find a bar where you can grab a snack or a refreshing drink to recharge after the hike.
