Welcome to the Retschenweg hiking route! This circular trail offers a pleasant 3.7 km hike with an elevation gain of 145 meters, making it an easy route suitable for hikers of all levels.

Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across the Ruine Rifenstein, a historic castle ruin located 0.84 km from the beginning of the trail. While not directly on the trail, it's worth a short detour to explore this piece of local history.

As you continue on, you will pass by several natural water sources, with the closest one being just 0.88 km from the start. Make sure to stay hydrated and refill your water bottles at these spots along the way.

For those needing a break, there are shelters available approximately 0.67 km and 0.78 km from the beginning of the trail, providing a nice resting spot to take in the surroundings.

At the midway point, you will find the Hof March farm, located 1.6 km from the start. This could be a great opportunity to learn more about local agriculture and maybe even pick up some fresh produce.

Near the end of the trail, you will pass by various facilities including a restaurant named Ryfenstein located right on the trail, making it a convenient stop for a meal before or after your hike.
