This challenging circular trail covers a distance of 9.098 kilometers with an elevation gain of 864 meters, taking approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes to complete. The trail starts at a parking area near the trailhead and takes hikers through stunning alpine landscapes.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At around 3.06 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across a natural water source at the Sorgente di Val Tronella. This is a great spot to refill your water bottles and take a refreshing break. Further along the trail at 3.46 kilometers, you'll find another water source.
For those looking to take a rest and enjoy a meal, the Rifugio Cesare Benigni alpine hut is located at 3.01 kilometers into the hike. This is a perfect spot to refuel and take in the beautiful mountain views.
As you continue on the trail, you will reach the Bocchetta di Valpianella saddle at 4.16 kilometers. This is a great vantage point to admire the surrounding scenery and take some memorable photos.
