Welcome to the Tiger Run RV Resort - Colorado Trail (Segment 6) hike!
This moderate 5.727-kilometer circular route offers beautiful views and a great hiking experience. The trail has an elevation gain of 33.0 meters and can be completed in approximately 1 hour and 24 minutes.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail, which is a convenient spot to leave your vehicle. Further along the trail, around the 2.85-kilometer mark, you will find a water source that is located just a short distance from the trail, perfect for refilling your water bottles.
Continuing on, at approximately 1.07 kilometers into the hike, you will find another water source, albeit a bit further away from the trail. Around the 0.87-kilometer mark, there is yet another water source, also not directly on the trail.
At about 1.03 kilometers, you will encounter another water source that is conveniently located right on the trail, providing a good opportunity to take a break and rehydrate.
As you make your way back towards the starting point, you will find bicycle parking facilities at 2.19 kilometers into the hike. Additionally, there are information points along the trail at the 2.08 and 1.96-kilometer marks, offering insights about the area and its surroundings.
Before embarking on this hike, make sure to bring an adequate supply of water, as some of the water sources are not directly on the trail. Also, check the weather forecast and dress accordingly to ensure a safe and enjoyable hiking experience.
