As you start your journey, you will pass by the peaceful Laguna del Verjón, located approximately 2.96 kilometers from the trailhead. This serene lake provides a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the scenic views.

Further along the trail, at about 4.3 kilometers from the start, you will reach Alto Los Tunjos, a popular viewpoint that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the stunning vistas from this vantage point.

Along the way, you will also come across Parque Materredonda, a restaurant located just 0.04 kilometers from the trail. This is a great place to refuel and recharge before continuing your hike. Additionally, there is a parking area at the beginning of the trail, making it convenient for hikers to park their vehicles before setting off on the adventure.

As you make your way back to the starting point, don't forget to visit Parque Ecológico Mataredonda, an ecological park located just 0.05 kilometers from the trailhead. This park offers a glimpse into the local flora and fauna and is a perfect place to unwind after a challenging hike.
