This hiking route takes you through the charming area of Ponte Romano in Maccagno con Pino e Veddasca. The trail is 1.68 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 109 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your hike, you will come across a convenient parking area, just 10 meters from the trail. About 0.06 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Garabilio information point located 100 meters away from the trail.
Continuing on, at around 0.36 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter a historic wayside shrine located 6.5 meters from the trail. Further along the trail, at the 0.73 kilometer mark, there is a waterfall just 30 meters from the trail. Another waterfall can be found at the 0.84 kilometer mark, only 3.9 meters from the trail.
The highlight of the hike is the Ponte Romano, which you will reach at the 0.78 kilometer mark. This ancient Roman bridge is a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
