Welcome to the Altenbergersteig hiking route!
Located in a picturesque area, this moderate 4.8 km hike with an elevation gain of 366 meters offers a great outdoor adventure for nature enthusiasts. It will take you approximately 2 hours to complete this out-and-back trail.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Karreralm shelter about 1.7 km from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Further along the path, at around 2.4 km, you will reach a viewpoint where you can savor panoramic views of the landscape. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the breathtaking scenery!
On the way back, at approximately 1.7 km from the end of the trail, you will find the Gasthof Moassa restaurant, perfect for a meal or refreshments after your hike.
Throughout the trail, you will also encounter various facilities such as parking areas, information points, benches, and even a historic wayside cross.
