This hiking route takes you through a fascinating area with a mix of historic ruins and archaeological sites. The trail is 3.413 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 143 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
You will start your journey at the Pella Ruins & Resthouse, located right at the beginning of the trail. As you continue, you will come across the Umayyad Settlement and the Civic Complex, both of which are ruins from ancient civilizations. Further along the trail, you will pass by the Nymphaeum, an ancient structure, and the Roman Gate.
For a longer hike, you can venture off the main trail to explore sites like the Canaanite Temple, Abbasid Settlement, and Tell al-Husn. These archaeological sites offer a glimpse into the area's rich history.
Midway through the hike, you will reach a viewpoint where you can take a break and enjoy panoramic views of the surroundings. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the trail.
