Welcome to the Gefällweg hiking route! This easy circular trail spans 2.076 kilometers with an elevation gain of 225 meters, making it perfect for hikers of all levels. Starting at the parking area located right at the trailhead, you'll quickly come across the "Lochbauernhof" information point, just 0.36 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to learn more about the area before continuing your journey. As you proceed, be sure to take a moment to rest at the benches conveniently placed along the trail. The first bench is only 0.01 kilometers in, with others scattered at various intervals as you hike.
Around the 0.74 kilometer mark, you'll encounter the "Kostgefäll" climbing area. Please note that this area may be closed from January to July to protect nesting birds, so be sure to check for any restrictions before planning your visit. Further along the trail, at 0.81 kilometers, you'll find the "Alter Gefällweg" informational point, offering insights into the area's history and natural features.
As you approach the 1.01 kilometer mark, the trail takes you near the stunning "Kostgfällschlucht" waterfall. While not directly on the trail, it's a worthwhile detour to witness this natural beauty. Additionally, at the same distance, you'll find another waterfall, easily accessible from the trail.
