This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you through the beautiful Schwalbenmauer area, covering a distance of 13.75 kilometers with an elevation gain of 950 meters.

Your journey begins at the Hochberghaus parking area, where you can park your vehicle before starting the hike. As you proceed along the trail, you will come across a water source approximately 1.06 kilometers from the starting point, providing you with an opportunity to refill your water bottles.

Around 3.29 kilometers into the hike, you will reach an information point that can offer valuable insights about the area. Continuing further, you will encounter the Sepp Huber Hütte (Alpenverein) alpine hut at around 3.45 kilometers, where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 6.88 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Schwalbenmauer, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, you may come across the Benn-Nock peak at around 2.87 kilometers from the start, providing another scenic spot along the trail.

As you near the end of the route, you will find historic ruins at 6.42 and 6.52 kilometers away from the starting point, adding a touch of history to your hiking experience.
