This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Béouveyre, offering a moderate challenge with a distance of 3.168 kilometers and an elevation gain of 313 meters.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across a parking area and the historic Batterie du Mont-Rose fort. As you continue, you will find another parking spot and a shelter for a quick break.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Col des Chèvres, a natural saddle, and the peak of Béouveyre. Nearby, you will also find a rock formation called Pas and a drinking water source for a refreshing drink.
Further along the trail, you will encounter the Col Moutte saddle, Baume de la Colonne and Baume du Houx cave entrances, and various climbing spots like Le Col des Chèvres and La Colonne.
Near the end of the hike, you will reach Mont Rose peak and a wayside cross. Along the way, you will also find benches for resting and a historic memorial to learn more about the area.
