This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Refuge de Varan. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 4.201 kilometers and an elevation gain of 500 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge you.
Along the trail, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across Via Ferrata Parking N. 2, where you can park your vehicle before starting the journey. As you make your way towards Refuge de Varan, you will also pass by Cascade de Zeta, a stunning waterfall located 1.26 kilometers from the start of the trail.
For sustenance, there are drinking water stations located at various points along the trail, with the closest one being 1.42 kilometers from the start. Additionally, there are benches and information points scattered throughout the route for rest and learning more about the area.
As you approach the halfway point, you will reach Refuge de Varan, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the panoramic views. From here, you can continue on to explore other nearby attractions such as Bassin de Curalla and Les Revennes de Curalla.
